Liz Winter is a rower, coach, consultant, and educator based in Pittsburgh, PA and rows out of Three Rivers Rowing Association. She began her rowing career at the University of Oxford, and has coached rowers and scullers of all ages and skill levels in the UK and the United States. Liz also developed and coached a collegiate rowing program and is currently a USRowing Level 2 Certified Coach.
Liz has spent 25 years providing training and consultation to organizations on stress, resilience, and workforce well-being. She is a faculty member in Child Welfare at the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work and has 20 years experience as a practicing mental health clinician. Liz earned her doctoral and master’s degrees in Social Work at the University of Pittsburgh and her law degree from the University of Oxford. She is also a Certified Consultant in Team-Based Learning™, an active learning instructional method which leverages the power of teams to enhance individual and team learning.
Her passion is using her multidisciplinary experience to work with coaches and programs towards the development of trauma-informed coaching systems that maximize performance as well as athlete well-being and resilience.
