Cynthia Mejia Colin
U.S. Center for SafeSport Training Manager
Cynthia N. Mejia Colin joined the U.S. Center for SafeSport in February 2020. As one of the Center’s Training Mangers, she is responsible for managing, creating and facilitating SafeSport’s abuse prevention trainings.
Before joining the U.S. Center for SafeSport, Cynthia worked at National PTA as a Member Outreach Manager. While at National PTA, Cynthia created programs and initiatives to diversify the PTA voice and cater to the needs of the everchanging public school population.
Cynthia also held a position as the Outreach Manager the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). Cynthia was responsible for maintaining partnerships with local, state, national and international. She developed and implemented outreach strategies to increase awareness and usage of NCMEC’s services, resources and programs. She also represented NCMEC as a national spokesperson at regional, national and international conferences.
Prior to NCMEC, Cynthia worked for Consular Section of the Embassy of Mexico in Washington, DC. There she managed the coordination and logistics of mobile consulates, assisted with program implementation to advance social development in Hispanic/Latino communities, digital media strategies, and assisted victims of crime.
Cynthia graduated cum laude from Marymount University with a BA in psychology and a minor in criminal justice.
